Indeed, this visit, whose historic nature deserves to be emphasized, was the very first by a President of the AfDB Group to the BDEAC headquarters since its inception. Driven by a shared desire to strengthen their strategic partnership in service of the economic and social development of the Central African region, the two Presidents, during their discussions, commended the excellence of their cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to developing multiple synergies to amplify the impact of their interventions in member states. In this context, their discussions focused particularly on the BDEAC's positioning within the New African Development Finance Architecture, which the AfDB intends to implement to optimize and harmonize financing mechanisms dedicated to the continent. It is imperative that the BDEAC play a strategic role in this architecture to increase its capacity to mobilize resources of all kinds, thereby accelerating the financing of structuring projects in Central Africa. In any case, the meeting between the two leaders opened new perspectives for strengthened cooperation through a shared vision: to equip Africa with strong, complementary financial institutions adapted to current development challenges. For its part, the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) welcomes this decisive step forward, which should, on the one hand, further reinforce its mission as a financier of development in Central Africa and, on the other hand, consolidate its position within the African financial ecosystem in general.
